Turkish Language and Literature Department was established in 1996. The department has two main objectives: First, to train specialists with basic training in the field and prepare them for postgraduate education; secondly, to prepare students at the level of making comparative researches with other Turkish Dialects and Literatures throughout the Turkish World. A four-year undergraduate program is implemented in the department. The master's program is conducted in coordination with Eskişehir Osmangazi University Institute of Social Sciences, with the contribution of the faculty members. There are 10 Professors, 6 Associate Professors, 2 Doctor Faculty Members, 4 Lecturers and 3 Research Assistants in the department. Graduates of the department can teach in private schools affiliated to the "Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı"; They can become experts in the "Türk Dil Kurumu", archives and can work in various units of TRT.
