The Department of Turkish Language and Literature was founded in 1996. The department has two main purposes: first, to provide you with basic training in the field and to record these for postgraduate education; second, to be stored comparatively with other Turkish Dialects and Literatures throughout the Turkish World. The department implements a four-year undergraduate program. The graduate program is carried out with the contributions of the department's teaching ratios in accordance with the Social Sciences Institute of Eskişehir Osmangazi University. There are 10 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 4 Assistant Professors, 3 Lecturers and 3 Research Assistants in the department. Graduates of the department can teach in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education or in private schools; they can specialize in the Ministry of Culture, the Turkish Language Association, archives and can be assigned to various units of TRT.
